Briefings & Courses

One of the most important roles of the Livery Committee is to organise City Briefings for all liverymen and freemen, and other courses for wardens, future masters, and their clerks.

The four City Briefings arranged each year are held in the early evening at Guildhall (*for more see foot of page). The Wardens and Court Assistants City Course (primarily intended for those who expect to become master/prime warden within the next year or so), is held in September. A half day After Dinner Speaking course intended for a similar audience is arranged each February. And a Briefing for Clerks is held annually in January. Spouses and partners are welcome at each of these events.

The following are in the programme for 2020:

City Briefings on  Tuesday 26 May 2020, Tuesday 15 September 2020, Monday 9 November 2020

The Wardens' Course is to be on Thursday 24 September 2020.

Clerks' Briefing (Tuesday 19 January 2021)

After Livery Dinner Speaking Course (Wednesday 10 February 2021)
