One of the most important roles of the Livery Committee is to organise City Briefings for all liverymen and freemen, and other courses for wardens, future masters, and their clerks.
The three City Briefings arranged each year are held in the early evening at Guildhall. The Wardens and Court Assistants City Course (primarily intended for those who expect to become master/prime warden within the next year or so), is an all day course held in September. A half day After Dinner Speaking course intended for a similar audience is arranged each February. And a Briefing for Clerks is held annually in January. Spouses and partners are welcome at each of these events.
The following are in the programme for 2017/18:
Clerks' Briefing (Monday 15th January 2018), After Livery Dinner Speaking Course (Wednesday 14th February 2018) and City Briefings on Tuesday 10th October, Monday 6th November, Wednesday 7th February 2018, Monday 8th October 2018, Tuesday 20th November 2018.
The Wardens' Course is to be on Wednesday 20th September 2017.
